Frequently Asked Questions About Training  With Rise

We believe clarity builds confidence. Whether you're new to training or exploring your next step, here are answers to the most common questions we get—from scheduling and pricing to what to expect in your first class.

Do I need experience to join?

Not at all. Every class is beginner-friendly and designed to meet you where you are. We coach step-by-step, adjust for all levels, and make sure you feel supported from day one.

What should I expect in my first class?

You’ll be greeted by a coach, introduced to other attending members, and guided through the class. We keep things clear, welcoming, and pressure-free—so you can focus on movement, learning, and feeling strong.

What if I’m out of shape or haven’t worked out in years?

You’re not alone—and you’re exactly who we built this for. Every class is scalable, beginner-friendly, and focused on progress, not perfection. We meet you where you are and help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

I’ve never done martial arts before - will I feel out of place?

Not at all. Our approach is principle-based and designed for real people, not martial arts insiders. You’ll learn step-by-step, with clear coaching and zero pressure to “perform.” We focus on practical skills, not tradition or hierarchy.

I’m nervous about trying something new - what if I freeze up?

That’s normal. We’ve coached hundreds of first-timers through those exact feelings. You’ll be guided every step of the way, and we’ll make sure you feel supported, not spotlighted. You’re here to grow—and we’ve got your back!

Will I be the only beginner in class?

Definitely not. Our classes are attended by people at all stages of their journey. You’ll be surrounded by others who are learning, growing, and showing up just like you. We foster a culture of encouragement, not comparison.

What age groups do you serve?

Most of our classes are designed for adults and teens (ages 14+), but we occasionally offer youth workshops, and we offer private training. If you're unsure, reach out—we’ll help you find the right fit.

What gear do I need?

•     Comfortable workout clothes
•     Water bottle & sweat towel
•     For Kickboxing and Fit 2 Fight: gloves (loaners available)
•     For Krav Maga: no gear required for trial classes
•     For Fit:30: no special gear needed -
just show up ready to move
